Jim Parsons of The Big Bang Theory has come out. He’s been in a relationship for the last 10-years (I think we’ve all known he was gay for at least that long) and good for him, say I.
I also want to applaud the classy way he tackled the subject - by keeping it matter-of-fact and down-to-earth - in The Times. He’s current broadway play is about gay men dying of AIDS in New York during the 80s. The report simply read:
“The Normal Heart resonated with him on a few levels: Mr. Parsons is gay and in a 10-year relationship, and working with an ensemble again onstage was like nourishment, he said.”
